Dr Aleksander Jev\u0161ek, Minister of Cohesion and Regional Development, said: \u201cWith the help of EU Cohesion Policy funding, Slovenia has strengthened its capacity in the field protection and disaster relief for firefighting and protection of people and property.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief has purchased new, smaller aerial firefighting planes under a project co-funded by the European Union: two AT-802 two-seater and two AT-802 single-seater aerial firefighting planes, two of which are already in Slovenia and the remaining two are expected to be delivered in the first half of next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u201cSlovenia will join other EU Member States that have their own firefighting fleet,\u201d added Minister Jev\u0161ek.
