Ljubljana, 24 April 2025 \u2013 The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the call for proposals Enriching quality and accessible education and integrating circular economy education in educational institutions in the SA\u0160A coal region.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of this EU-funded call for proposals, support will be provided for development, upgrade and strengthening of digital, entrepreneurial and sustainable (green) competences with an emphasis on career orientation and integration of circular economy education into all levels of educational system. The call will aim to develop and upgrade the existing didactic approaches and teaching and learning strategies by integrating good circular economy practices in a way that ensures a school-wide approach in at least 23 educational establishments in the SA\u0160A coal region. These activities will underpin the implementation of the key strategic goal of the green transition, i.e. innovative, low-carbon, digital and knowledge-based transformation of the economy and society for enhancing skills and knowledge for smart specialisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call for proposals Enriching quality and accessible education and integrating circular economy education in educational institutions in the SA\u0160A coal region will be implemented in the scope of Slovenia\u2019s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, under priority Restructuring of coal regions. It will pursue specific objective Just Transition Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call will make a total of \u20ac6,182,353 available; most of the funding, i.e. \u20ac5,255,000.05, will come from the Just Transition Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Education will publish the call in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on 30 April 2025.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
