As part of it, a new expressway of the third development axis will be constructed, more precisely, section 2 between Velenje and Slovenj Gradec, lot B \u0160kalsko Lake and lot H Konovo.  The project is expected to significantly shorten travel times, improve road safety, minimise environmental impact and help boost the development of Koro\u0161ka region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2019\u2019Third development axis is of vital importance for the people of Koro\u0161ka as it will connect them to regional hubs and the motorway network. At the same time, it is urgently needed to boost the development of Koro\u0161ka region and promote the economic and social cohesion of regions. This project is thus key for balanced regional development, and I am glad we were able to make it part of Slovenia\u2019s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and secure funding for it. This was made possible after the programme amendment adopted in late February,\u2019\u2019 said Minister Jev\u0161ek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will be implemented as part of Slovenia\u2019s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 under priority Sustainable (cross-)regional mobility and connectivity.
