The project includes reconstructing the road and providing new areas for pedestrians and cyclists. This will improve traffic safety and conditions for daily walking and cycling. The project will promote the use of sustainable modes of transport.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The renovated traffic layout will also help reduce the negative environmental impacts of motorised traffic and establish better conditions for recreation and active leisure activities. The project is part of the implementation of the Novo Mesto Municipality\u2019s Sustainable Urban Strategy 2030 and contributes to achieving the goal of reducing private car use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is implemented under Slovenia\u2019s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">European Regional Development Fund contribution to the project, with a total value of \u20ac2,926,218.97, stands at \u20ac988,868.56.
