Encouraging the participation of young people in urban sports contributes to a more active role of young people, both in terms of individual leisure time and the creation of a more active life goal. The inclusion of skating in the family of Olympic sports offers the possibility for the development of a top sport and the organisation of international sports events.
The principles of sustainable design were used in the transformation of the existing area. An area has been created that is available to skateboarders performing elements of different levels of difficulty, as well as holding competitions at the national and international levels.
