We are delighted to invite you to the Fun Without Borders event at the picturesque Babič Mill in Veržej, Slovenia, on Saturday 14 September 2024. The event is organised in the frame of the Interreg Cooperation Day (IC Day) ceremony and the EU My Project My Project initiative.
Highlights of the event:
The event will give you a chance to learn more about the Slovenia-Hungary Interreg Programme, the cross-border project Mura Raba Tour, which is also one of the finalists of the EU Project My Project initiative, and several co-funded small-scale projects, namely Bridge Over Border, Mills – Our Mutual Value, Table Tennis Connects, Crafts4Future and Folk Music Show.
What to expect:
The day will start with the delivery of welcoming speeches, presentations of the co-funded projects and a cultural programme that will set the tone for a day full of adventure and enjoyment.
Activities:
Mura River adventures: Take a rafting trip on the Mura River with a stop at the charming Island of Love. Alternatively, explore the lush forest around the mill on a guided hiking tour.
Crafts and games: if you prefer something more relaxing, join the various fun activities organised by the co-funded projects. Enjoy handicraft workshops, play a game of bridge or table tennis, explore the Babič Mill and enjoy folk music tunes.
Lunch break: enjoy a tasty lunch before heading out for the afternoon activities.
Afternoon activities: After lunch, you can explore the Mura River area by changing groups and ensuring everyone experiences all the available activities.
Social events and local culture: Finish the day with a social event where you can network with approved project partners and other participants. During the event, you can also learn about the co-funded projects and local products displayed at the stands.
Practical information:
Free participation: Thanks to our organisers, the event is free of charge. Free bus transport from Slovenia and Hungary will be provided.
Registration: As the number of participants is limited, please register by 10 September 2024.
Important notices: Participation is at your own risk. Please bring a valid ID (ID card or passport) if crossing the border. Remember, Slovenia’s currency is the Euro (EUR). Dress appropriately for outdoor activities.
