A signing ceremony was held under Interreg Programme Slovenia-Austria 2021-2027 at Ptuj Castle on 9 September 2025. The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development, in its capacity as managing authority, signed 31 ERDF subsidy contracts, that is for 11 standard projects and 20 small-scale projects that had been approved under the third deadline of the open call for standard projects and the second deadline of the call for small-scale projects.
Around 70 participants attended the signing ceremony, welcoming new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
The selected projects will make an important contribution to reducing territorial disparities in cross-border regions, fostering positive change and opening up new development opportunities. Joint activities of project partners will make cross-border areas future-proof, more resilient and sustainable, fostering climate change adaptation, risk mitigation as well as trust and cooperation among people on both sides of the border.
