A group of hikers set off towards the Pristava House along the picturesque Gajšek path as part of the past project Alpe Adria Karavanke/Karawanken. In the morning, the sky was overcast with clouds hinting at rain later on, but it stayed dry and the hikers were even lucky enough to indulge in some sunny spells.
Along the path, the hikers learned more about the project and its results. The project brought together municipalities and providers of tourism services from the Slovenian-Austrian border region. Together, they proved that mountains divide but also unite – through a common cross-border destination that builds on sustainable development, natural heritage, and unique story of the Karavanke/Karawanken mountain range.
A big thank you goes to everyone who joined us on the hike and helped shape the development and visibility of our common cross-border space.
