The project involves the comprehensive renovation of the Rotovž Town Hall in the Maribor Main Square, which is protected as secular architectural heritage. The plan calls for a functional, energy-efficient, and seismic retrofit of the central part of the building, as well as improvements to its functionality and use.

The renovation will enhance the utilisation of existing space in the urban area and revitalise the currently underutilised building in the public interest. The renovated spaces will be used for city administration, ceremonies, receptions, and business and cultural events, thereby strengthening the building’s public and representative role. A total of 1,245.13 square meters of net floor area will be renovated.

The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021–2027.

The total value of the project is €5,872,993.38, of which the European Regional Development Fund will contribute €4,451,242.94. The beneficiary of the funds is the Urban Municipality of Maribor.
