Ljubljana, 14 May 2026 – The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project Lendava business incubator. The European Regional Development Fund will contribute €1.67 million to the project.

As part of the project, the run-down town hall in the centre of Lendava will be fully renovated and transformed into a business incubator. The town hall is a listed building under monumental protection. As such, it will undergo a carefully planned sustainable renovation using locally sourced materials such as wood and bricks. The redesigned space will be tailored to meet the needs of businesses.
Once renovated, the building will serve as a business incubator. It will provide 846 square meters of office space designed to support start-ups and early-stage entrepreneurs. Its mission will also be to foster the broader development of entrepreneurship within the community.
The project aims to support the development of entrepreneurship, foster business creation and contribute to the revitalisation of the Lendava town centre by providing new initiatives in public interest.
The €1,970,642.56 project will be implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme. It will receive €1,675,046.18 from the European Regional Development Fund. The beneficiary of the funds will be the Municipality of Lendava.
