71 subsidy contracts for small-scale projects signed under Interreg Slovenia-Croatia

71 subsidy contracts for small-scale projects worth over €1,400,000 were signed under cross-border cooperation programme Interreg Slovenia-Croatia on 20 March 2025. The projects will be co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Interreg Programme Slovenia-Croatia co-finances events aimed at building up mutual trust in border regions that have a positive overall impact on both sides of the border. Rather than attracting visitors, these projects aim to build trust and understanding among people living in the cross-border area while strengthening their ties and fostering strong relationships.

The approved projects are diverse and cover a range of cooperation areas such as joint work of fire brigade teams, cultural and artistic initiatives, heritage protection, ecological initiatives, sports activities and promotion of local gastronomy.

The people-to-people projects will additionally strengthen ties and cooperation between the people living on both sides of the border, thus contributing to sustainable development and a more connected future of both countries.
