The project focuses on strengthening the alignment of the education system with labour market needs by encouraging employers to offer apprenticeships. The project will promote the involvement of employers in providing on-the-job training for secondary vocational education students and practical training for students at higher vocational colleges.

The project aims to improve the relevance of the education system concerning labour market needs and to facilitate the transition of young people from education to employment. The project contributes to greater employer involvement in the educational process and to the development of skills relevant to the modern workplace.

The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, priority Skills and responsive labour market.

The project, worth €18 million, will receive a European Social Fund Plus contribution of €12,060,000.

The beneficiary is the Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia.
