Ljubljana, 11 April 2025 – The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project ITI Urban Municipality of Kranj Digital. The municipality will receive over €900,000 from the European Regional Development Fund to deploy digital solutions for traffic optimisation and promotion of sustainable mobility.
The project will build on the use of advanced technologies and deployment of digital solutions. It will allow the Urban Municipality of Kranj to put in place a traffic management system supporting multimodal mobility and providing:
The project will focus on setting up a sustainable mobility vertical as part of an integrated digital platform called Smart Kranj. The platform will enable AI-driven, more efficient and more sustainable urban traffic management.
The €3,322,960.35 project will receive €908,756.62 from the European Regional Development Fund.
