Ljubljana, 21 February 2025 – The first call for proposals for the activity Ports providing adequate working and sustainable conditions for fishermen was published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No 11/25.
The activities of the call for proposals will be co-financed by the Programme implementing the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund in the Republic of Slovenia 2021-2027 (P ESPRA 2021-2027). The documentation is available here (in Slovene).
The subject of the call for proposals is the implementation of investments to improve safety and working conditions in fishing ports; to increase the quality, control and traceability of fishery products landed in fishing ports, including the improvement of hygiene conditions; to regulate the anchoring and mooring of fishing vessels and to contribute to the general safety in fishing ports; to contribute to environmental protection in fishing ports, including the provision of facilities or containers for the storage of discarded fishing gear and the management of waste, including marine litter, and to increase energy efficiency; as well as to facilitate the management of unwanted catches in fishing ports.
Beneficiaries eligible under the call for proposals are municipalities in the Republic of Slovenia where fishing ports are located. The call for proposals also lays down the conditions for applying, the criteria for assessing applications, the obligations of the beneficiaries, the procedure for obtaining funding and the penalties for non-compliance.
The funding available under the call for proposals is 855,000 euros. The minimum amount of support is 5,000 euros per application.
