On Thursday, 16 January 2025, a roundtable discussion at the Novo mesto Development Centre (Podbreznik 15) was organised under the EU Funds Travelling Office initiative. The event brought together a number of participants whose objective was to broaden their knowledge of EU co-funding opportunities and the ways of how to apply for calls for proposals.
Experts from different fields presented current and upcoming calls for proposals and gave advice for successful applications:
Regional Development: Beti Blagus, Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development,
Economy, Tourism and Sport: Bojana Mohorčič, Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport,
Interreg Slovenia-Croatia: Željka Kitić, Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development,
Asylum, Migration and Integration: Mateja Fabina, Government Office for the Support and Integration of Migrants.
The event was opened by Ms Mateja Jazbec, Deputy Director of the Development Centre Novo mesto, who underlined that such meetings are an opportunity to inform and support potential applicants.
Participants were happy with the organisation of the event and the opportunity for direct dialogue with experts who answered questions and shared their experiences.
Such meetings add to the success of EU co-funded projects and raise awareness of the opportunities available in different sectors.
