3 December – International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities aims to promote the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities, also through the support of the EU Home Affairs Funds.

Slovenia is committed to further tackling the various issues persons with disabilities face in today’s society, also through the implementation of the programmes for the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), the Internal Security Fund (ISF), and the Border Management and Visa Instrument. Thus, we wish to ensure that access to the rights deriving from the implementation of these programmes is equal for all without exception. The programmes are supported by the EU funds.

The United Nations General Assembly declared 3 December as International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 1992.
