The EU co-funded call for proposals will support the implementation of research and development projects of individual companies or consortia of companies involved in the Important Project of Common European Interest European Battery Innovation (IPCEI EuBatIn). The research, development and innovation phases developed through participation in a joint European consortium of companies in this field are eligible for co-funding. The call for proposals will strengthen Europe’s capacity to establish and enhance its autonomy and resilience to ensure a stable, sustainable, innovative and competitive battery value chain and innovation in battery technologies.
The call for proposals Incentives for projects included in IPCEI EuBatln is implemented under Slovenia’s Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, priority Innovative knowledge-based society and pursues the specific objective Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies.
The European Regional Development Fund will contribute the bulk of the funding for the call for proposals worth 4 million euros, namely 2.8 million euros.
The Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport will publish the call for proposals in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia today, i.e. on 20 December 2024.
