Ljubljana, 23 December 2025 – The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has issued a funding decision for the project Regional integrated transport strategy of Jugovzhodna Slovenija region. The project will receive Cohesion Fund support.

Regional integrated transport strategy is a strategic document designed to set the framework for the development and management of transport in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija region. The project will contribute to the development of urban mobility and the establishment of a sustainable transport system, thereby improving living and business conditions.
The main objectives of the project are to:
The total amount of funding allocated for the implementation of the project is €100,000.
The contribution in the programme area of Slovenia as a whole amounts to €80,000, with the European Union support standing at €68,000. National contribution provided from the state budget stands at €12,000.
The beneficiary of the financial contribution is the Development Centre Novo mesto d.o.o. The project is being implemented under Slovenia’s Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, within the priority Sustainable cross-regional mobility and connectivity. The eligibility period runs from 1 February 2025 to 30 September 2027.
