The project aims to improve the quality, inclusion, effectiveness and relevance of Slovenia’s education system. As part of the project, teachers and school leaders will participate in programmes helping them overcome modern education challenges. The project will focus on the development of competences for inclusion, adjustment to social and environmental change, use of data for quality improvement and support to self-evaluation processes. It will also promote gaining competences for improved teaching processes, lifelong learning and innovative approaches to teaching.
Teachers and school leaders at all levels of education will be involved in the project as target groups. This will include professionals in pre-school education, teachers in primary, secondary, vocational and technical education, and special education teachers. Moreover, professionals working in student dorms and adult education professionals will also take part in the project.
The beneficiary of the funding will be the National Education Institute. The latter will carry out the project by working closely together with a consortium consisting of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training, the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education, the National Examination Centre and the Centre for School and Outdoor Education.
The project is worth a total of €3,500,000; €2,234,749.99 will come from the European Social Fund Plus.
