Ljubljana, 27 March 2026 – The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project under the agreement on the development of regions, namely the design of the Pomurje regional development strategy. The Cohesion Fund contribution stands at €68,000.
The project covers the preparation of an integrated transport strategy for Pomurje, which will set guidelines for future transport development in the region and measures to promote sustainable mobility. The strategy will serve as the basis for integrated planning and management of traffic flows at the regional level.
The project aims to establish a strategic and targeted transport planning and improve sustainable mobility management in the region. By implementing the set measures, the project will contribute to long-term transport system improvements and enhance the quality of life.
The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and is co-financed by Cohesion Fund under the priority Sustainable regional mobility and connectivity.
The project, worth €100,000, will receive a Cohesion Fund contribution of €68,000. The beneficiary is the Lendava Institute for Tourism and Development.
