The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for two projects: hydraulic improvements to the water supply system and construction of water supply pipelines for the drinking water supply in the municipalities of Mirna Peč, Žužemberk and Dolenjske Toplice, and hydraulic improvements to the Lower Savinja Valley water supply system. The projects will receive a total of more than 6.6 million in EU funding.
As part of the project focusing on hydraulic improvements to the water supply system and construction of water supply pipelines for the drinking water supply in the municipalities of Mirna Peč, Žužemberk and Dolenjske Toplice, a high-quality drinking water supply system will be established in an area that supplies more than 10,000 inhabitants of the mentioned municipalities. The investment covers the construction of an 18,274-metre water main, of which 10,609 metres will serve as a hydraulic upgrade to the existing water main and 7,665 metres will be a new water main. The project, worth €7,694,117.05, will receive €3,026,730.86 from the Cohesion Fund. The beneficiaries of the funding are the Municipality of Mirna Peč, the Municipality of Žužemberk, and the Municipality of Dolenjske Toplice.
The project, focusing on hydraulic improvements to the Lower Savinja Valley water supply system, covers the establishment of a high-quality drinking water supply system in an area that supplies more than 10,000 residents in the municipalities of Polzela, Braslovče, Prebold, and Tabor. As part of the investment, the project plans to construct a 15,699-meter-long water main across four sections located within the Tabor and Vransko–Polzela water supply subsystems. The project, worth €7,584,393.54, will receive €3,590,769.92 from the Cohesion Fund. The beneficiaries of the funding are the Municipality of Polzela, the Municipality of Braslovče, the Municipality of Prebold, the Municipality of Tabor, and the Municipality of Vransko.
Both projects are implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027.
