Successful completion of the deadline for submitting projects under the 3rd Interreg Danube Call

The deadline for submitting project applications for the 3rd standard, thematically oriented call for proposals under the Interreg Danube Region Programme 2021-2027 was successfully completed on Monday, 15 December 2025, at 2 p.m. A total of €27.3 million in Interreg funds was available.

By the deadline, a total of 200 project proposals covering all the specific objectives of the programme had been submitted via the JeMS electronic system. The number of applications submitted for each specific objective is as follows:

  • SO 1.2 – Developing skills for smart specialisation, industrial transition and entrepreneurship: 50 project proposals
  • SO 2.1 – Promoting renewable energy: 34 project proposals
  • SO 2.2 – Promoting climate change adaptation capacities and disaster management: 20 project proposals
  • SO 2.3 – Access to water and its sustainable management: 8 project proposals
  • SO 3.1 – Labour market and access to quality employment: 12 project proposals
  • SO 3.2 – Education, training, and lifelong learning: 41 project proposals SO 4.2 – Institutional capacities for territorial and macro-regional governance: 35 project proposals

All projects that pass the eligibility assessment will be included in the evaluation. Due to the large number of applications received and the upcoming holidays, the evaluation timeline and the approximate date of publication of the final results will not be known until January 2026.
