In November 2021, the Žalec Day-care Centre was established. The main purpose and goal are to enable people to stay as long as possible in their home environment, among their friends, acquaintances and people they know, despite their age, illness and disability. The activities of the centre focus on the leisure time for the elderly, enriched by various daily activities, in the company of their peers. In addition to a wide range of activities (exercise, creative workshops, mind and fun games, excursions, gardening, celebrations), involvement in educational and cultural activities, intergenerational cooperation with schools, kindergartens, and associations, the users are also involved in their own local community, which is close to their hearts. With a modern design that gives a homely feel and its location on the outskirts of the city centre, the Nina Pokorn Grmovje Day-care Centre, in addition to the basic day-care services, offers its users additional amenities (resting areas, spa bathrooms, reading corners, workshops, etc.).
