The aim of the renovation is to improve the passability of the park, enhance safety for pedestrians, improve tidiness, maintenance, accessibility and mobility for the disabled, offer sports activities to citizens, various events and other activities, and, at the same time, the growing conditions for trees and shrubs. By renovating the park, we expect the number of visitors to grow and, thus, the living environment in the city to improve. The renovation will also result in the possibility of implementing additional content in the park, a better connection with the surrounding settlements, Piramida and the Ribniško selo settlement, which represents the continuation of the park arrangement. With the aim of efficient use of space in urban areas, the measures of the operation encourage the utilisation of the potential of the urban area. The implementation of urban renewal promotes the reactivation of free and underutilised areas within the city.
