Promoting the use of public transport and, consequently, reducing the number of private cars in the city centre, while focusing primarily on the following objectives in line with the Koper Urban Development Plan and the Koper City Plan: reducing the volume of road traffic, increasing the use of public passenger transport, reducing traffic congestion and consequently reducing CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases, reducing the number of cars in public spaces, reducing the distance travelled by private cars, and improving public health. The P+R Sonce parking garage provides 464 parking spaces, of which 385 are designated for the P+R system, and 79 are reserved for residents of Koper’s historic city centre.
